TTP advices ‘Associates’ to stop ‘Activities’ for 30 days

ISLAMABAD: Tehreek- e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has issued a written order, dated November 9, 2021 for its ‘Mujahidin’ advising them to stop ‘Activities’ for a period of 30 days.
The written TTP order comes in the context of its negotiations with Pakistan government. The order carries a stamp of the banned outfit. The letterhead used by TTP to issue the order to its ‘Mujahidin’ carries name of ” Abu Munsoor Asim Mahsood, Ameer of TTP at the top.
The order said ” Since TTP is in negotiations with the government and both parties (Government and TTP) have agreed to a ceasefire, all “Mujahidin” associated with TTP are advised to stop all types of ‘Activities’ for 30 days (Nov 9 to Dec 9) this year.
Setting aside public outcry, the government had initiated negotiations with TTP in Afghanistan. Pakistan government had officially announced to enter into an agreement for a ceasefire with banned TTP for what the officials claim put an end to terrorist activities in Pakistan. TTP is on war with the state for years. Its warriors have conducted thousands of terrorist attacks in Pakistan in the last around one decade. The same banned outfit had carried out the most henious terror activity by resortung to a deadly attack on the innocent students of Army Public School (APS) , Peshawar in December 2014, killing 154 students, besides injuring hundreds others. Now when the government of Imran Khan disclosed that it was negotiating with banned TTP, its facing biting questions from the parents who lost their kids in TTP armed assault on APS in Peshawar, in particular, and other Pakistanis in general. That was the darkest day of Pakistan’s history when terrorists resorted to attack on the school. The nation can not and should not forget this henious act of TTP. Even the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) had not been able to understand and it summoned prime minister , Imran Khan, to question him as to what compelled his government to enter into negotiations with the killers of the school kids?.
The prime minister is to submit his government’s reply on reasoning behind these talks with TTP in a month.
