Twist in national politics, PMLN wins Islamabad mayor by-election

ISLAMABAD; The by-election of Islamabad mayor has brought a big twist in national politics at a very critical time. The election was held here on December 28 2020 . PMLN won the election.
The office of Islamabad mayor had fallen vacant due to resignation of Shaikh Ansar Mahmood. Shaikh Ansar had some issues with PTI government. He was a close confident of Nawaz Sharif.
PMLN’s candidate, Syed Peer Adil Shah won the election by getting 43 votes. He defeated Malik Sajid Mahmood of PTI who could get only 26 votes.
PMLN spokesperson, Maryam Aurangzeb, termed the win of PMLN in byelection of Islamabad mayor as a wind of change. She said PMLN win in Islamabad mayor shows the people have recognise the fake leader and they are not ready to trust any more. She said PMLN is the real representative of the masses .
