Individuals declared bankrupt are prohibited from acting as company directors or being involved in company management unless they obtain court permission.

Despite his bankruptcy status, Hasan Nawaz remains a director of several companies in the UK.

The spokesperson also provided a historical context, explaining that the Sharif family’s financial struggles began in 1972, when the industrial nationalization policy under then-Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto severely impacted their businesses.

The family faced further financial difficulties during General Pervez Musharraf’s rule, including the confiscation of their homes and the sealing of their factories.

Additionally, the spokesperson referred to the tenure of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, during which the Sharif family’s industries were allegedly targeted and destroyed.
