Islamabad : After only one day’s terrible attacks by Pakistan , US has intervened for an immediate ceasefire between Islamabad and New Delhi.
US administration played a key role to persuade India and Pakistan to come a ceasefire as more escalation could result in catastrophic development.
US president , Donald Trump, announced that both India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire and he congratulated the leadership of both countries.
Deputy prime minister and Foreign Affairs , Ishaq Dar , confirmed in his talk to a private channel that Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire . He said US and many other countries made great efforts to stop both India and Pakistan not to go ahead for more fights.
He mentioned Turkey , Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom (UK), in particular, among those countries which worked tirelessly to bring India and Pakistan to an understanding for a ceasefire.
He asserted that Pakistan gave a great response to Indian aggression and finally it stood tall as a proud nation. He congratulated the entire Pakistani nation for fighting out India in the war that started with starting aggression by India on May 6, 2025.
India had launched massive attack on Pakistan on May 6 accusing it of perpetrating Pahalgm terror attack that killed 26 tourists .
Pakistan denied any role in Pahalgm terror attack , but India did not hear to it ,Instead , it attacked Pakistan on mid night on May 6. New Delhi did not stop there. It kept on attacking Pakistan . Last night it launched massive attacks on Pakistan’s air bases.
Pakistan , which was showing restraints , finally launched a retaliatory attack on India today (Saturday) . It destroyed Indian military assets including major air bases.
On May 6 , India and Pakistan had the world biggest dogfight wherein over one hundred fighter jets participated. Pakistan downed five Indian jets including three Rafales, Sukhui and Mig 29.
Today in the morning , Pakistan also downed two Indian jets including at least one Rafale jet.
Pakistan has also arrested one female Indian pilot who ejected herself from Rafale which Pakistan destroyed today (Saturday) on Sialkot sector.
While announcing ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the afternoon on Saturday , US secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr Romeo , said in a statement that India and Pakistan will sit down to discuss long outstanding issues like water issues and Kashmir dispute.
This is very important development as it highlights Pakistan’s position. India , which was not ready to talk to Pakistan on thorny issues , agreed to talk to Pakistan at an independent venue. This US secretary’s statement is victory of Pakistan.
