World must move to help Afghans: COAS

RAWALPINDI: Army chief , Qamar Javed Bajwa, on Monday stressed the need to make the world community realised that Afghanistan was in dire need of its financial help and any delay in this context could create a worse human crisis in that war- torn country. He added that any crisis in Afghanistan could spill over to the region and then to the other parts of the world to bring instability in South Asia, in particular, and in other parts of the world, in general.
The army chief made these assertions during his meeting with United States (US) representative who called on him in his office in Rawalpindi on Monday.

The conference also reminded to the Afghan interim government to honour its obligations of making a real inclusive government in Afghanistan, besides honouring its other commitments like ensuring human and minority rights, right of education to Afghan girls and safety and security for women at workplaces in Afghanistan to seek much- needed financial assistance from Europe and US.
The army chief appreciated US repreaentative’s participation in OIC conference.
