ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi has resigned from his position as deputy parliamentary leader following the issuance of a show-cause notice from the party.
In a statement, Zain Qureshi explained, “I have submitted my response to the show-cause notice and decided to step down from the deputy parliamentary leader role in consideration of the party’s sentiments.”
He affirmed his loyalty to the PTI, stating, “I was, am, and will be a stalwart of my party, PTI founder, and father.”

Earlier, the PTI had issued show-cause notices to Qureshi and several other members, including Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Riaz Fatyana, Aslam Ghumman, and Miqdad Ali Khan, citing violations of party protocol.
The notice questioned why communication had been cut off and demanded responses within seven days, warning that failure to provide a satisfactory reply could lead to loss of party membership.
