Women University Mardan holds insightful session on patience, tolerance, and inclusivity in modern academia

PESHAWAR — Women University Mardan (WUM) hosted an enriching and thought provoking session titled, Patience, Tolerance, Multiculturalism and Inclusiveness in the Modern Academic Environment at the university’s Main Hall.The event drew a large audience, including heads of departments, faculty members, students, and administrative staff.

The keynote address was delivered by eminent scholar Prof, Dr. Qibla Ayaz, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar and former Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Islamabad.Dr. Qibla Ayaz highlighted the profound cultural values embedded in Pashto society hospitality, patience, respect, and social harmony.He also presented verses from the poetry of Rahman Baba, linking the poet’s timeless teachings to the contemporary academic landscape and today’s socio cultural needs.

The session was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof, Dr. Razia Sultana, who warmly welcomed the participants.In her remarks, she stressed the significance of nurturing inclusive, tolerant, and diverse learning environments where students and faculty can grow with mutual respect and understanding.

The presence of Registrar Mr.Adnan Ahmad, Director P&D Mr.Adnan Masood, and Campus Coordinator (Bakhshali Campus) Mr. Kamran Khan added institutional strength to the occasion.

The distinguished session was meticulously organized by Director ORIC, Ms. Haleema Ikram, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful execution of the programme.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks to the guest speaker and all participants, marking the session as an enlightening and inspiring experience at Women University Mardan.
