Karachi : The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released data on the workers’ remittances which recorded an inflow of US$ 2.9 billion during August 2024.
In terms of growth, remittances increased by 40.5 percent on y/y basis.
Cumulatively, with inflow of US$ 5.9 billion, workers’ remittances increased by 44.0 percent
during first two months of FY25 compared to US$ 4.1 billion received during first two months
of FY24.
Remittances inflows during August 2024 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia ($713.1
million), United Arab Emirates ($538.4 million), United Kingdom ($474.8 million) and United
States of America ($322.4 million)
