KOHAT: (July 5, 2022). The Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) has suspended the holidays of officers and operational staff on the eve of Eid ul Azha.
Briefing media regarding special cleanliness drive during three day of Eid ul Azha here in local press club on Tuesday, the WSSCK deputy general manager , Tahir Hafif , said that like previous year, the entire staff of WSCCK will remain on duties for provision of water and cleanliness on this year during the three days of Eid.
He said the holidays of officers and all staff have been suspended.
Mr Hafif explained as many as 490 operational staff and 100 small vehicles would participate in a special cleanliness campaign during the three days of Eid.
For collection of offal and animal remains, the senior official said around 232 gathering points and 25 major transfer stations have been designated in jurisdiction of the WSSCK, through which during three day of Eid, the offals and animals remains would be transported to dumping ground.
The company deputy general manager said work of digging of ditch has already been initiated at the dumping ground to safely dispose of animal remains and offal.
The senior official said the special awareness among people would be created through a special Radio program, besides banners were also displayed on main routes of the city.
Furthermore, he said pamphlets and bio-degradable bags would also be distributed under the awareness campaign.
Mr Hafif during the presser had effectively responded to the various queries of reporters regarding Eid sanitation plan, cleanliness and uninterrupted water supply.
The senior officer said the WSSCK complaint centre would remain open on the three-day of Eid.
He asked the people that they can call a toll free number/helpline in Kohat city areas 1334 for registration of complaints, which would be addressed promptly.
