Zulfi Bukhari bows out as Rawalpindi Ring Road starts bitting alleged masterminds

ISLAMABAD: Zulfi Bukhari, a close friend of prime minister and his special advisor, on Monday resigned to face inquiry into Rawalpindi Ring Road scam.

In a statement issued by Zulfi Bukhari to media here said he has resigned as special assistant to prime minister to face inquiry in Rawalpindi Ring Road scam . Zulfi Bukhari declared that he will not leave Pakistan unless prove himself innocent in the case.

Zulfi Bukhari is the first high profile victim to resign in the case . His name had figured in the scandal. Many other characters of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) like Sarwar Khan, federal minister for Aviation, are also allegedly being linked with Rawalpindi Ring Road scam that involves corruption of billions of rupees.
