ATC Initiates Process to Declare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Gandapur a Proclaimed Offender

 

ISLAMABAD, November 21, 2014: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday initiated the process of declaring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender in a terrorism case.

The proceedings took place under the supervision of Judge Tahir Mehmood Supra.

During the hearing, defense lawyers for PTI leaders Faisal Javed and Wasiq Qayyum requested an exemption from attending the court, but the judge rejected the plea.

As a result, the court canceled the bail bonds of the three accused: Faisal Javed, Wasiq Qayyum, and Raja Khurram in a case registered  Industrial Area police station.

The court also initiated proceedings to declare Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender due to his persistent failure to appear in court, despite repeated summons.

The case against Gandapur, along with Faisal Javed, Raja Khurram, and Waqas Qayyum, involves terrorism charges and was filed at the I-9 police station in Islamabad.
