Govt slashes petrol , diesel prices by Rs 5.66 and Rs 1 39 per liter respectively

Islamabad : The federal government has slashed prices of petroleum products for the current fortnight ( Oct 16-31).

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division on Wednesday here, High Speed Diesel ( HSD) prices have been reduced by Rs 1.39 per litre . It’s new rates have been fixed at Rs 275.41.

Petrol rates have been slashed by Rs 5.66. its new rates have been fixed at Rs 263.02 per litre . Light diesel oil (LDO) rates have been reduced by Rs 2.74 per litre and new rates for current fortnight will be Rs 162.76 per litre .

Superior kerosin oil (KSO) rates have been slashed by Rs 3.26 per litre and it will cost Rs 181.71 per litre to the commuters.

Although cut in the prices of petroleum products is marginal , but it will bring some relief to the inflation-hit people of Pakistan . The people in Pakistan are facing hardships due to slow down of the economy . Although interest rate has been reduced by almost half in the last one year or so , but the people have not been passed on its benefits.

The people of Pakistan have been living on the ruling class promises of good days , but in practical they are under huge financial burden for the last around one and half years.
