Islamabad : Caretaker prime minister , Anwaarul Haq Kakar, on Sunday made a conditional offer to the armed groups for talks . The caretaker prime minister ‘s reference for conditional talks was for the banned terrorist group –Tehreek e Taliban (TTP) which is allegedly involved in heinous terror activities in Pakistan for years.
TTP is targeting the armed forces of Pakistan and Pakistan’s military installations . In the recent past , TTP attacked Mianwali airbase and caused huge loss to Pakistan in terms of military assets and security personnel. TTP has also made many deadly attacks on Pakistan’s security forces in the recent weeks .
Pakistan had held talks with banned TTP in Kabul in the past, but these talks remained unsuccessful. The caretaker prime minister , however , made it clear while making the conditional offer to TTP for talks that Pakistan will not come to negotiations table at the gun point.
“Those who want to have talks with Pakistan at gun point must understand that it will never happens. Pakistan can not be forced for talks at gun points”, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar said while speaking at a TV channel show on Sunday. The caretaker prime minister said he does not need a certificate for his identity as a ‘Pashtun’.
Anwaar ul Haq Kakar said he is a “Pashtun” and loyal to the state . The caretaker prime minister added that Afghans are very respectable for him and only illegal Afghans are being sent back to Afghanistan. He said Afghans who are going back to Kabul can come to Pakistan again after getting legal documents and visas . He said Afghans who do not have legal documents are being sent back to Afghanistan.
