ISLAMABAD: July 14, 2023: A loan app whose employees’ alleged blackmailing led to suicide of Mohammad Masood, a 42-year old Pakistani national, has turned into a complex question for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
During the raids on Bharosa loan app office in G-8 it conspired to the investigating agency that the loan app had a huge network and it has trapped hundreds of the needy people through attractive slogans and on line applications.
The information given on the website of Bharosa loan app shows the network had multiple traps to first get in the needy through small loans and then it exploit trapped individuals for blackmailing for getting undue benefits .
The officials of FIA Cybercrime Wing have carried out two raids on the office of Bharosa loan app and seized laptops and other accessories to have complete investigations to explore entire network of the loan app.
The FIA Cybercrime Wing has also arrested 9 employees who were directly involved in the case of deceased Moahmmad Masood.
“We will have a complete investigations in the matter and see how people across Pakistan have fallen in trap of Bharos loan app”, an official of FIA raiding team told NEWSMAN requesting anonymity.
According to the FIA official, Bharosa loan app network has some foreigner employees which is a serious issue. The official said ‘ We are looking the issue of foreigners employees of the loan app in depth and there is a possibility that the network of Bharoa my result in a big international scam.
Deceased Mohammad Masood had committed suicide a few days and left a message for his wife which disclosed that the deceased was being blackmailed by the employees of Bharosa loan app. The widow of the deceased had produced the note of her husband to the FIA for action against the employees of Bharosa loan app.
