PESHAWAR: Terming the rumours of any deal to end Islamabad march last week, the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan, has declared that he is coming with another march on Islamabad with full preparation provided the government did not declare schedule for mid- term elections prior to expiry of his 6-day deadline. He made it abundantly clear that the use of force against his march next time will bring different result and if anything unexpected occurred as its fallout the sitting ‘imported’ government would be its sole responsible.
Addressed a press conference along with chief minister Kyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK), Mahmood khan, at chief minister house in Peshawar on Friday PTI chief said he changed his mind for not staging sit in in Islamabad after long march fearing bloody violence that could cause loss to Pakistan.
“:After reaching Islamabad , I could clearly see the mood of the marchers and foresee anger their eyes and in such an environment his sit in could lead to bloody clashes between the marchers and law enforcing agencies (LEAs) and the same forced me to cancel sit in and issue another deadline for holding general elections”, Imran Khan noted.
He claimed that he did not want any act which could damage Pakistan and benefit to its enemies and the same thinking forced him to change his mind for sit in in Islamabad.
He issued warnings to the government and said denial to his party for ‘peaceful’ protest would instigate his followers for disobedience.
The PTI chief disclosed that he has questioned the Supreme Court asking it why his party was being denied peaceful protest. He said the government used Punjab police against his marchers which was unexpected for his followers but next the participants of the march on Islamabad will come with full preparation and face off any unlawful act of the law enforcing agencies.
Imran Khan said his party has only one demand of holding mid term elections in the country and handover the government to the next government. Lamenting the increase in petrol prices , Imran Khan said his government was in a process to buy cheaper oil from Russian but it was sent home to bring in a government of the corrupt. He repeated that PTI will never accept the rule of corrupt elements and struggle to oust it through the power of the people.
The PTI again claimed that PTI would have never accepted any anti people demand of the International Monetary (Fund) for securing an installment. He said the government destroyed Pakistan’s economy and now its people are facing the fall out of wrong policies of the current government.
