Pak-China reaffirm commitment to take bilateral strategic ties to new highs : PMO

Islamabad: August 6, 2026 : Pakistan and China reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral strategic relation. Both countries renewed their commitment to further enhance Pak-China relations which guarantee regional balanced of power during a Chinese ambassador to Pakistan’ meeting with prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , iheld in Islamabad.

According to the Prime Minister Office (PMO) , Ambassador of China to Pakistan Mr. Jiang Zaidong called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, today. He handed over a letter from President Xi Jinping, conveying appreciation for Prime Minister’s letter on the occasion of 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Highlighting the positive trajectory in bilateral relationship of the two countries, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen all-weather strategic partnership with China.

The Prime Minster also underscored the value of people-to-people contacts as well as exchanges between political parties and parliaments of the two countries.

Matters related to bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest also came under discussion.
