Islamabad, (Newsman): The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has confirmed another polio case in Pakistan, bringing the total for 2024 to 50.
The latest case involves a 20-month-old girl from Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where tests conducted by the National Reference Lab identified Wild Poliovirus Type 1 (WPV1).
This marks the second case in Tank this year, with genetic testing linking it to a previous case from July in the same area.
