This picture of a heavy vehicular beeline towards the Capital City Of Islamabad was taken at the confluence of the twin city at Faizabad on 28th February 2023 at 9 am while on way to Dawn Office to meet my old colleague Jehangir Khan, who heads the paper’s circulation in the Northern Region.
I wonder with the civilian force that the police is realise how the bottleneck they created at their security check point at Faizabad is in absolute disharmony to their motto ” committed to serve”, when it serves as the biggest dis service both the citizens as well as the already sick economy.
This unnecessary security bottle neck is not only counter productive, but also a drain on the country’s resources where million worth of petrol wasted in the name of security which in reality does not the purpose and spirit of security that requires vigilance and timely exchange of information to counter security threats then block highways trying to look for security threats is like finding a needle in the haystack.
