Sindh Movement holds Sindh govt responsible of crime

THATHA: Against harassment of girl students in Sindh educational institutions, murder after abduction of 9th grade student, Nigina Chandio in Dadu and tragedy in Nokot, central president of Sindhi Movement Sabhani Dahri, central vice president Umra Simon, central general secretary Zarqa Halepoto protested in front of Thatha press club on Sunda
Addressing the protesters, Sabhani Dahri, central president of the Sindhi Movement, said the PPP’s loyal officers recruited by the Sindh government in Sindh’s higher education institutions have created an atmosphere of terror. “We believe that the PPP government is also involved in this process, which turned the murders of Dr. Nimrata Chandani and Noshin Kazmi into suicides and protected the killers.
Umrah Simon, vice-president of the Sindhi Movement, said that in a recent report released by Lams Jamshoro Forensic and Test Lab, it was confirmed that the clothes of Dr Nimrata and Noshin Kazmi contained the same male components and both the students were raped. “The entire administration including the VC of Chandka Medical College is involved in the murder of these students”, he claimed. He alleged that the corrupt and infamous government of Sindh has proved from the outset that it is equally complicit in these crimes by not conducting a high level investigation into the murder of girl students.
Sajid Parhiar, central organizer of Sindhi Girls Student Movement, said that under a well-conceived conspiracy and global imperialist agenda, PPP recruited executioners in educational institutions to destroy education in Sindh and prevent female students from entering higher education institutions. He added that girl students were not safe in their educational institutions in Sindh. “From hostel to the classroom they (Girl students) are mentally and physically tortured and harassed and we get dead bodies of girl students’* he asserted
The leaders further said that on the one hand female students are being harassed in the universities and on the other hand incidents like Nokot are taking place. The escape of Asif Zardari, the main accused in the incident was an ample proof that the entire machinery of Sindh government was protecting the accused.

The protesters demanded that a high-level inquiry committee be set up in the Supreme Court against those who created fear in the educational institutions and that the accused be hanged and justice be done with the blood of the students. The protestors demanded that the inquiry committee should include serving judges of the High Court, students, intellectuals, journalists, lawyers and other members of civil society as members of the inquiry committee to look into the issues raised by the students.
