On 21st November 2022, at 12.30 pm while on way to the Qul of Maj. Iqbal Khan in Peshawar that my attention caught this vehicle without registration number except inscribed with “Fortuner” and “Legender”, enough to define the riders.
Pakistan is unfortunate on many counts, one being that it has lost everything whether culturally, traditionally, politically , economically or legally to the automobiles that is known as the lorry economy in the local parlance.
How sad that we have lost everything blinded by the glitters of the vanity and materialism where people have lost all identity except the luxury cars they own that serve as status symbol and their master key to open all societal barriers whether to override the law or overrun the law enforcers, paints a gloomy picture that we have lost it both as a people or the country. We are fast losing the generation with values. RIP Honourable Maj. Iqbal Khan, the Honourable late father of Maryum Iqbal.
