Riyadh : Sept 11: Pakistan- Saudi joint naval exercises concluded here in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The naval forces of both Islamic countries learnt from each other’s experience during the exercises and exhibited their abilities to defend their territorial waters .
Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, Deputy Commander Eastern region of Saudi Navy, Sajid Al- Anaizi, Rear Admiral Ishtiaq Ahmad and Commodore atiqur Rehman, graced the concluding ceremony of Saudi -Pak naval joint exercises.
A large number of naval forces personnel of the both countries were also present at the event.
On the occasion, commander Al -Bahar 14 joint exercises, Atiqur Rehman said Pak-Saudi joint naval exercises concluded successfully.
He said the naval forces of both the countries participated in the exercises to expand areas of cooperation between the naval forces of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Commander Atiqur Rehman added that the naval forces of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia displayed excellent defence skills and abilities to counter any future threat to their territorial waters.
Saudi-Pak joint naval exercises were also conducted in the past and this process to continue in the future as well.
He maintained that Pak navy is guarding Pakistan ‘s waters territory and its every personnel was ready to defend the motherland .
Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia , Ahmad Farooq , also expressed his views on the occasion.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are expanding bilateral cooperation in all areas including defence. He said defence cooperation strengthens relationship between the two counties.
He thanked Saudi leadership for extending all out support to Pakistan at every critical time. The ambassador added that the people of Pakistan have great affection for the Saudi leadership.
