ISLAMABAD . August 7, 2022. Amidst growing pressure from the government for ‘sorting out’ top party leadership , the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has decided to reply all these coercive measures with its show of power being staged in Islamabad on August 13, on the eve of Pakistan’s 75th independence Day falling on August 14, 2022.
PTI top leadership rather than bowing down to the government pressure tactics is toning down the risk attached with the latest decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in foreign funding case and trying to push its agenda of calling fresh general elections in Pakistan .
PTI’s power show scheduled for Islamanad on August 13 is a calculated move in the same context . Imran Khan and his party is confident that the PTI can weather the emerging legal storm and make a safe passage out of it. It’s, undoubtedly, a multi – million question as to how PTI would dodge the evidence attached by ECP with its ruling in PTI foreign funding case ?.
There is no doubt that ECP had enough evidence against PTI to declare that it got unlawful funding from various sources between 2008-2012.
Imran Khan, by nature, does not believe that any thing could stop him from over- shadowing his questionable acts by showing his popularity in the public. PTI’s show of power in Islamabad on August 13, 2022 would be another example of his this cocky behaviour.
Imran Khan feels himself over and above the law and he has exhibited this behaviour many a times in his political life. His reluctance in facing no confidence in the national assembly as prime minister in early April this year was it’s open and shut example . His arrogance and stubbornness is also an outcome of his the same mental approach .
Imran Khan will not give up his fight for power whatsoever price he pays for it.
Now the question arises is the law really serious to see its power in foreign funding case ? If its answer is in affirmation then PTI and its ballooned chairman will have to go through a tiring legal fight to prove himself and his party innocent in foreign funding case.
Tosha Khana case is another big hitch for Imran Khan and PTI. This case will also wrap up Imran Khan and PTI in many unseen and unexpected complexities.
These two cases will establish how PTI and Imran Khan tackle the situation in coming weeks and months and keep putting pressure on the government for calling general elections in Pakistan in 2022.
The government seems more confident to ‘ sort out PTI ‘ after ECP ruling in foreign funding case. The government’s orders to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against second tier leadership of PTI in foreign funding case is a clear indication that it is not going to give any chance to Imran Khan and his party to get of trouble this time.
Imran Khan’s political future hangs on his public popularity and his show of power bon August 13, 2022 will decide as if he is going to keep ball rolling and giving tough time to the government or otherwise.
