Pakistan had edged to lose a crucial match to Afghanistan which fought well despite giving a low target of 130 runs to the green shirts on Wednesday here, but last minutes’ two consecutive sixers of Naseem Shah, a young Pakistan’s cricket sensation, changed the game altogether to snatch the victory from Afghanistan.
Naseem Shah was on the pitch facing the last over of Farooqui who did brilliant job for his country with ball and bagged three crucial wickets of Pakistan in his three oves. Pakistan needed 11 runs off the last six balls and its last pair was out on the crease. The bowler opted for a full toss to Shah who was ready to hit a big hit to throw the ball out of the ground. Shah’s plan had worked and he had hit a big six on the first ball of the over. Now Pakistan had come back in the game . It needed 5 runs off 5 balls.
The bowler again went to the run up point and rushed to throw another full toss to Naseem Shah who again tossed the ball out of ground for another big six. He had succeeded again and that was an end of the match and story of Afghanistan.
