ISLAMABAD : October 25,2022: Law minister , Azam Tarar’s resignation has come out of the blue for the Shahbaz government .
Although the minister cited ‘personal’ reasons to take gloves off as a very important member of Shahbaz government , there are speculations that Azam Tarar , a very composed person in normal life and the most trusted aide of Sharifs , left as Law minister on reasons other than ‘personal’.
Sources in lawyers fraternity claims that Azam Tarar resigned as he was under pressure to vote for one of the contending judges against hus will.
These lawyers rule out the possibility that the slogans raised by some participants of the Asma Jahangir conference against the establishment was a main reason of his resignation.
Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif, will decide the fate of Azam Nazir’s resignation and it’s likely that he will reject the resignation and ask him to carry on his duties as Law minister .
In other case , Shahbaz government will not only lose a competent professional legal mind but also find difficult in getting his right replacement.
