ISLAMABAD : Dec 9,2022: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has stamped the revised agreement of Reko Diq mines project. The apex court gave its decision on ite presidential reference in Reko Diq reference case on Friday here.

The Supreme Court has declared that the Reko Diq agreement was not against the 2013 decision taken by this court.
President, Dr Arif Alvi , had sent a reference on Reko Diq to SCP for its opinion in October last . The Court held 17 hearings in the Reko Diq presidential reference.
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Umar Atta Bandyal, delivered a 13-page judgment on Reko Diq reference.
The Supreme Court wrote in its decision that the president of Pakistan had asked 2 questions in the Reko Diq reference,
The court stated tha the provinces can amend and change the laws related to minerals.
The Supreme Court wrote in its judgment that the Reko Diq agreement was not against the law, as there was nothing illegal in the new Reko Diq Agreement,
The Reko Diq agreement was also valid regarding the environment, the federal and provincial governments made the agreement after taking the opinion of experts, and the Balochistan Assembly also trusted the agreement.
