RAWALPINDI : Dec 20,2022: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued a statement on Bannu counter terrorism department (CTD) clean up operstion to weed out terrorism who seized the centre and made around two dozens employees hostage .
ISPR Director general , Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary , in his statement confirmed that Pakistan army ‘s great Special Services Group (SSG) conducted operation to end seizure of CTD centre in Bannu by killing 25 outlawed Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists
According to ISPR DG , 7 terrorists surrendered in the fight.
As many as 33 terrorists had seized CTD centre in Bannu two days ago and took employees of the organisation hostage . The terrorists demanded safe passage to Afghanistan which was not entertained . Finally , after a stand off for more than 48 hours, law enforcing agencies stormed into the CTD compound to weed out the terrorists ..
During the clean up operation that lasted for two and half hours, ,25.terrorists were killed and 7 taken into custody when they surrendered to SSG commandos.
ISPR DG added that Pakistan’s brave sons took part in the operation and cleared CTD compound of terrorists . He said Pakistan was fully capable of eliminating terrorists who
could dare to destabilise Pakistan. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary maintained that Pakistan ‘s determination to eliminate terrorists remains unflinching and undeterred . He said Pakistan ‘s great armed forces will crush anyone who comes in its way for terrorism in Pakistan.
