ISLAMABAD: July ,4,2023: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said peace-loving nations and leaders around the world who believe in co-existence should block the violent forces fanning Islamophobia and religious prejudices.
The Prime Minister said the honor and sanctity of Holy Quran is a part of our faith, for this we are all one. He maintained thet misguided minds are following a nefarious agenda by spreading the negative trend of Islamophobia.
The prime minister announced to celebrate the Holy Quran Day on July 7 against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and appealed to the nation to hold a nationwide protest on Friday.
According to Prime Minister Media Wing, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. In which the issue of desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden was considered and the Prime Minister has decided to celebrate Holy Quran Day on July 7. It has also been decided to call a joint session of Parliament on Thursday to formulate a national plan of action on the Sweden incident and give a message to evil minds.
The Prime Minister adviced that the protest rallies should be held across the country on Friday to condemn the incident in Sweden. The Prime Minister has also decided to call a joint session of the Parliament on Thursday. Shehbaz Sharif directed that a national plan of action should be drawn up on the Sweden incident in the joint session of the Parliament, and the sentiments of the nation should be fully expressed through the forum of the Parliament. It also directed that a joint resolution be passed in the joint session of the Parliament.
The prime minister as the president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) has also directed the party to take out protest rallies across the country.
The forces that believe in peaceful, balanced and inter-faith harmony at the global level should come together to remedy such trends and incidents.

It should be noted that yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Swedish government should take disciplinary action against the criminals who desecrate the Holy Quran and try hard to stop such incidents. Addressing the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire Muslim Ummah strongly condemns the incident that happened in Sweden, and the Pakistani government supports the decision of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It is hoped that such an incident will not happen in the future. Action should be taken. The Prime Minister had said that unfortunately this is not the first incident, there have been such heartbreaking incidents before and it has come to light that the narrative of hatred against Muslims living in Sweden has been created. The Pakistani government is not only strongly condemning it, but also demands the Swedish government to take full notice of these incidents.
The Prime Minister had said that I am very satisfied that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has called an emergency meeting on this and in this meeting, this action was strongly condemned, but it was demanded that not only strict action should be taken against the criminals, but also in the future. Such incidents should be prevented.
