ISLAMABAD: AUGUST 1, 2023: Prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, has said Pakistan will be a destination for major mining companies and its time for investors to opt to invest in mining sector of Pakistan to reap benefit of its untapped natural resources.
The prime minister was addressing as a chief guest to the participants of Pakistan’s first mining summit held here on Tuesday.
Mr Shahbaz Sharif said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government awarded a mega deposit of natural resources in Chinot , Punjab without following a proper procedure which invited legal battle besides exposing the project to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for investigation. He said Pakistan will provide a conducive environment to the investors who will bring their investment in Pakistan.
Army chief, Syed Asim Munir, on Tuesday made a two- part address to the participants of Pakistan’s first mineral summit held here and assured to the potential investors to invest in Pakistan’s mineral sector without any fear and security risk as Pakistan was capable enough to provide a flawless security for those who will bring in investment in it mineral sector.
“I assure you to impart flawless security for mining initiative project , come up and invest in Pakistan which has been blessed with unlimited natural resources. In Pakistan your investment will be totally safe and you will get good dividend for it”, the army chief, who took central stage at the mining summit, told the participants of he event.
The army chief quoted various verses of Holy Quran in his address which say that God has blessed you countless treasures and then question to the human beings you will remember to how many blessing showered on them by him.
The army chief also addressed to the nation and urged it to utilize the natural resources which were in abundance in Pakistan and take leap forward for progress and prosperity. He said Pakistan is a lucky country which is going to explore untapped natural resources.
Advisor on Petroleum and Natural Resources, Muasdiq Malik said Pakistan will introduce one window facility to facilitate the investors to work in Pakistan without any hassle.
