ISLAMABAD : Oct 15 : In a big relief to the public , the caretaker government on Sunday announced massive reduction in petrol price of Rs 40 per litre . It also reduced diesel price by Rs 15 per litre .
According to the official handout issued by the Finance ministry , with reduction of Rs 40 the petrol price scaled down from Rs 323.38 to Rs 283.38 per litre . Likewise , with reduction of Rs 15 , the price of diesel (High Speed ) scaled down to Rs 303.18 a litre.
HSD price per litre was Rs 318.18 a litre till Oct ,15 . The official notification said the new reduced prices of petrol and HSD will be applicable for the next 15 days. As per the rules, the government will review the prices of the petroleum products on November 30.
Sunday’s reduction in petrol and diesel rates is a big relief to inflation hit people of Pakistan. With massive reduction in the prices of petroleum products , the rates of everything including edible and transport fairs will come down. The massive reduction in the petroleum product prices will also bring inflation and so the price hike to give a sigh of relief to the people of Pakistan.
