Karachi : Dec 28 : Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony , Aniq Ahmad , on Thursday announced balloting result for regular Haji scheme 2024. The minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony oversaw balloting process for Hajj 2024. As many as 69638 applicants had applied for Hajj 2024 under regular scheme .
Mr Aniq Ahmad on the occasion of balloting said that under regular scheme 63805 lucky Pakistani intending Hajis will perform Hajj 2024. The minister noted that he wishes that all unsuccessful applicants would go for Hajj ,2024 , but it depends on approval of the federal cabinetHe added that applicants will get update on balloting for Hajj 2024 through messaging and Hajj App introduced for the first time.
The minister said the government is doing utmost efforts to provide the best available facilities to make sure that Pakistani intending Hajis perform Hajj 2024 without any problem. The minister said Pakistani intending Hajis will be provided a suitcase having a code which will help trace the intending Hajis in case of going missing during Hajj days and also find out their luggage in case it goes missing at any stage of Hajj 2024.
The minister appreciated Punjab IT Board and federal Information Technology minister , Umar Saif , for preparing Hajj App and other IT solutions to address any possible problem that could be confronted with Pakistani intending Hajis during Hajj days. The minister added that Karachi has been added to Road- to- Mecca project. According to the minister intending Pakistani pilgrims can apply under sponsorship scheme till December 31.
