Islamabad : Feb 4 : The Speaker National Assembly , Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, has said that solution of Kashmir issues is a must for sustainable peace and stability in the region in the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. He said that the Kashmir freedom movement cannot be suppressed by the use of force on innocent Kashmiris.
He expressed his views on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day which is celebrated on February 5 every year.
The Speaker National Assembly said that the Kashmiri people have been resisting India’s usurpation of Kashmir for more than 7 decades and are sacrificing their lives for freedom. He said that the story of atrocities committed by India to crush the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir will always be remembered as a dark chapter in history.
He said that Pakistan has always strongly supported the right of self-determination of Kashmiris at the political, moral and diplomatic levels and firmly stands on its principled stand to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations. Wants a fair and peaceful settlement of all disputes, including Kashmir.
The speaker condemned the ongoing human rights violations by the Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and emphasized the need for the international community to take notice and play an effective role in ending them. He said that the only, long-lasting and permanent solution to the Kashmir issue is possible only through referendum in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as per United Nations resolutions.
The Speaker stressed the need to ensure the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir and to put pressure on India to end the use of force in Occupied Kashmir. He said that the resolution of power-based conflicts is not possible. Due to the aggression of the Israeli forces on Palestine for the last 5 months, the loss of human lives on a large scale, terrorism and serious violations of human rights. He said that the brutal brutality of Israel in Palestine and the massacre of innocent children and civilians is against the modern principles of the world. It is impossible. He said that Pakistan will continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri and Palestinian people on all platforms of the world.
