Lahore : May 28,2024: After full six years , Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) supremo , Main Nawaz Sharif , was elected as party chief unopposed here on Tuesday . PMLN had summoned the session of the central executive committee of the party to elect its chief. Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by Pakistan ‘s top court on corruption charges in 2016. Since disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as party head and subsequent his unceremonious exit from the power, Nawaz Sharif , is blaming then chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) , Saqib Nisar , of conspiring to dislodge his government on a petty issue of not seeking salary from his son. Nawaz Sharif repeated the same allegations and called Saqib Nisar as a moving brain to dislodge his government . Addressing to the party huddle Nawaz Sharif said the committed party workers have thrown Saqib Nisar’s decision of disqualifying him from holding public office for life . He said these party workers have brought him back as PMLN chief but Saqib Nisar is not in his office to conspire against him. He said ” Today you elected me as PMLN chief again ,but Saqib Nisar is no where “. Nawaz Sharif also lashed out at founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, and held him responsible of the current political and economic condition of Pakistan . Nawaz Sharif said today Imran Khan stands exposed to the nation as a conspirator and declared that Pakistani people will foil his anti Pakistan agenda. Nawaz Sharif counted achievements made in his past two rules and held PTI leadership responsible of bad days being faced by the people of Pakistan . Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , also addressed the PMLN meeting and accused PTI founder Imran Khan of conspiring against the military institution of Pakistan. He congratulated Nawaz Sharif for taking over PMLN as its chief *again* .
