KARACHI: it was Babar Azam who made HBL PSL final between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalanders an easy win for his team…Karachi Kings…with his unbeaten 63 runs of 49 balls.
Lahore Qalanders opted to bat first after winning the toss and gave a target of 135 runs to Karachi Kings.
The Karachi Kings achieved the target with 8 balls in hand.
Babar Azam made 63 runs and remained not out. Nobody from Lahore Qalanders could make an impressive show with the bat. The regular loss of wickets restricted Lahore Qalanders score to 134 runs.
Karachi Kings managed to get the target in the second last over.
Commenting on HBL PSL V games, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman , Ehsan Mani said PCB had shown great commitment to cricket game by organising HBL PSL V in in Covid environment and its our great achievement in difficult times. He said this time we missed the crowed, but next time hopefully we will have it here at stadium to backup the teams .
M Aurangzeb of HBL called the HBL PSL V event a great game and vowed to take PCB-HBL partnership forward for promotion of cricket in Pakistan in the future as well. He appreciated coming of international cricketers to Pakistan for HBL PSL and hoped they will become ambassadors to carry Pakistan’s message of great cricket loving nation to show real face of this country to the whole world.
