THATHA: Awaz Foundation and Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) held seperate sessions on COVID-19 and women sexual harassment at Mukli SRO office.
Addressimg the participants of COVID-19 awareness session WF trainer ,Asad Mamon, said corona is a serious pandemic and every individual of the society should take it seriously. He said its important for each one of us to wear mask to protect ourselves and others from tbis deadly virus. He urged for strictly following tbe standard operating procedures (SoPs) iissued by the health authorities to avoid apread of the corona virus.
Asad Mamon said “Followimg of SoPs is the only option to stay protected from COVID-19 virus”.
PWF trainer , Asif Imrani, delivered lecture on women and children sexual harrassment. He said the government shiuld take effectve measures to protect women and children from sexual harraaament. Asif Imrani said the rise in incidents of sexual harrassment against women and children demamd removal of legal implications to bring the accused to the court of law and ensure them harah pumishment. Asif Imrani said the government should also make sure that justice is delivered in sexual harrassment cases without delay. He also urged upon the public to show sympathy with the victims to help them restore their confidence and have a normal life like other members of the society.
Irfan Samo of SRO Thatha, Abdul Sattar Behrani and Abdul Hafeez Sharifani were also present on this occasion.
