Islamabad / Sialkot : After a week of creating war hysteria India finally attacked Pakistan and Azad Kashmir in the wee hours on Wednesday. India attacked started at 12.50 PM and targeted half a dozen locations in Pakistan and Azad Jamm Kashmir. Indian war planes and drones targeted mosques at half a dozen locations in Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.
All India’s targets in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were civilians and none was a military target. Pakistan confirmed death of at least 26 civilians and injuring many others.
In retaliation, Pakistan took Indian war planes head on and shot five of them down. Pakistan army also down Indian quad combat copter
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was on high alert for the last 48 hours , foreseeing Indian aggression and its war planes roared on the skies as soon as Indian war planes launched the attack on Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.
PAF responded to Indian air attack in no time and shot down five Indian war planes.
Pakistan’s armed forces also responded to the Indian attack and targeted its military posts . Pakistan military also downed a coad copter and missiles fired by Indian forces on Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.
India was threatening to attack Pakistan in the wake of Pahalgm attack in Occupied Kashmir for two weeks which had claimed 26 lives on April 22, 2025. India suffered huge loss in its Wednesday’s attack on Pakistan like one it carried out in 2019.
Pakistan had downed 5 Indian war planes in the latest attack. US , China , UK and many other countries have urged both India and Pakistan to show restraints and give peace a chance.
United Nations also urged to both neighbours- -India and Pakistan –to de-escalate and avoid major clash which it called as “potentially catastrophic”.
As a result of Indian attack , Pakistan has shut down its airspace for 48 hours. When India attacked Pakistan in the wee hours on Wednesday , Pakistan’s air space was operational and dozens of international flights were operating in it.
Indian attacks on AJK and Pakistan’s civilians and mosques sent a wave of shock to the people of Pakistan.
Defence minister , Khawaja Asif , said Pakistan ‘s response to India’s attack on Wednesday was shocking for Indian rulers. He added that Pakistan will keep on defending its sovereignty and integrity and keep stunning Indian rulers. Information minister , Atta Tarar , in his reaction to Indian attack on Pakistan said After Wednesday ‘s attack , Pakistan stunned India. He confirmed that Pakistan shot dead five Indian planes in the dog fight in the wee hours on Wednesday.
At around 9.45 PM on Wednesday, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary , briefed the media . He said Pakistan reacted to Indian attack that was launched at mid- night and shot down five Indian war planes and a combate coad copter . He said India attacked at 6 locations in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan that killed 26 civilians including kids and women. He said Pakistan has the right to react to any Indian attack to ensure its sovereignty and integrity. He confirmed that India was also engaged by the Pakistani army and responded to India’s posts , causing Indian forces huge loss. He displayed some videos, showing wreckages of downed Indian planes and blowing up of Indian military posts along Line of Control (LoC) . ISPR chief said India attacked Neelam Jehlum Hydro Power and called it as a dangerous act of India. He questioned India for attacking Pakistan’s water reservoir. Gen. Chaudhary said India attacked mosques in Pakistan. ISPR chief made it clear that Pakistan will take any Indian aggression head on and go to any length in its defence.
