THATHA: A large number of social, politcal and civil society representatives on Monday lodged protest against frauds in allotment of plots, land grabbing and issuance of fake cheques to affectees by China House Scheme and Land Grabs here.
The protestors staged sit in and blocked Gharo national highway to press the government for arrest of main characters of the fraud.
Ghulam Mustafa Chandio, Musa Chandio and Ashraf Mallah led the demonstration.
The protestors demanded arrest of Jahangir Mari and Maluk Mari who, according to the protestors , were involved in land frauds and issuing fake cheques to the affectees.
Talking to media on the occasion, Ghulam Mustafa Chandio said Land Grabs and China Housimg Scheme have defrauded the innocent people through fake land sales and deprived them.of their lifelong earning. He said one of the.characters of the fraud was already languishing in jail in land fraud case. He also demanded arrest of other charcters including Maluk Mari and Jahangir Mari.
The fraud characters were also.accused of creating an environment of harrassment in the area and turing the land of love and peace into a danger zone.
