Pakistan agree to 48-hour ceasefire on Taliban regime ‘s request

Rawalpindi : The Pakistani government and the Afghan Taliban regime, at the Taliban’s request and with mutual consent, have decided to implement a temporary ceasefire starting at 6 PM today for the next 48 hours-Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During this period, both sides will make sincere efforts to find a positive resolution to this complex but solvable issue through constructive dialogue. Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Afghan regime has been opening up many front against Pakistan for the last one week .

Pakistan was reluctant to engage with Kabul militarily , but a massive attack on Pakistan last week forced it to respond to Afghan aggression. The new situation has created alarming situation for Pakistan . Pakistan is in confusion as to what allured Afghan regime to attack Pakistan . Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghans and protected them in difficult times .

Pakistan did not expect anti Pakistan campaigns from Afghan regime . Now when Taliban regin has opened a new war front for Pakistan which compelled Islamabad to give harsh response to any aggression from Afghan soil.

Pakistani leadership is time and again reminding to Taliban regime that Islamabad wants peace with Afghanistan , but for a sustainable peace on Western border , Afghan regime should not allow Tahteek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to use its soil against Pakistan.
