Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , on Monday Received a telephone call from H.E. António Costa, President of the European Council, and discussed the situation arising out of the on-going Middle East war,
PM Sharif in his message on X said “We exchanged views on the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East and in order to restore regional peace and stability”.
He added “I briefed him on Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts, which he welcomed and supported”.
Prime minister maintained that We also discussed strengthening Pakistan-EU relations, including the importance of GSP Plus and the upcoming Pakistan-EU Business Forum in Islamabad, scheduled for end-April. I look forward to visiting Brussels at a mutually convenient date. I also conveyed good wishes for EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
