MIRPUR : Abadkaar stage protest here to protest alarming water scarcity in the area.
.The protestors blocked the Gharo- Karachi highway for hours to bring the issue in the notice of high ups.
The protestors argued that their crops were perishing due to non- availability of water to their farms and it needs urgent attention of the higher authorities .
They demanded water supply to their crops without any further delay.
The blockade of the road caused huge traffic problems for the passengers who remained trapped in their vehicles in scorching heat on both sides of the highway for hours.
Mukhtiarkar Sakro, Ahmad Mamon, DSP Sakro Qadir Khaskhali and Engineer Sakro Abdul Ghani Khaskhali intervened and assured the proteators to resolve water shortage issue to put an end to the sit in and blockade of the highway to restore traffic on the road.
