Islamabad : A commercial building has been declared as a sub-jail in Gilberg Greens in Islamabad to detain around 500 foreign nationals allegedly involved in human trafficking , hacking and other cyber crimes falling under National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Sources said hundreds of foreigners were carrying out illegal cyber crimea in Suparco Plaza, a multi-storey commercial building situated in Gulberg Greens in Islamabad .
A first Information Report (FIR) filed in this case by Anti Human Trafficking Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said around 200 to 300 foreign nationals have been detained in Sparco Plaza in Gilberg Greens Islamabad.
NEWSMAN investigations suggested Sparco commercial plaza in Gulberg Green was a hub of cyber crimes in the suburb of the federal capital for a long time and these activities were noted by the relevant agencies , which carried out a raid on the building early this week. These investigations further suggested that the raid was carried by the police, FIA and other agencies and all foreigners involved in illegal activities were detained in the same premises.
A source said this development was followed by search of the building and detention of hundreds of foreign nationals mostly Chinese and Vietnamese.
The concerned agencies are investigating the case of each detainee and thrashing out their travel documents to a certain legality of their
stay in Pakistan, the source added.
One of the investigators probing the case told our special correspondent , Syed Fawad Ali Shah , mostly detainees had travelled to Pakistan years ago as visitors and later they set up an illegal network to carry out illegal activities in Pakistan.
Islamabad administration has issued a formal notification for declaring Sparco Plaza in Gilberg Greens as a sub Jail.
According to the notification , security and safety has been assigned to FIA and the police of the area.
