For God sake , talk seriously to end PTI long march ; Ali Zaidi urges

"Ali Haider Zaidi on X: "What are you actually trying to say here. PTI stalwart questions Dawn

Karachi : PTI stalwart and former federal minister questions Dawn in his comment on X. He said Dawn questions PTI’s long route to Khairabad, then answer their own question: the marchers want to avoid direct confrontation and remain peaceful. So what exactly is there to mock? The government blocks roads with containers and deploys riot police. The marchers take a detour to avoid confrontation. Somehow, the scrutiny falls on those avoiding bloodshed rather than those creating the conditions for it. Absolute rubbish. Would you prefer they walked straight into a clash? The most disturbing part is the report that a decision to impose an emergency in KP has already been taken in principle, with implementation depending on whether the march attempts to force its way into Islamabad. If that reporting is correct, what confidence should anyone have in the talks at the Speaker’s office? How sincere is dialogue when an elected provincial government is negotiating under the threat of an emergency? Then we are told the consequences have been conveyed. That is a direct threat. The state has been using these tactics for years. Where is the same urgency in finding a peaceful solution? Next comes concern about fuel and food supplies reaching KP through GT Road. Who placed the containers? Who is blocking the crossings? Open the roads. Let supplies through. You cannot obstruct people’s lives and then use their suffering as an argument against the protestors. And why the condescending references to @SohailAfridiISF Afridi’s age and political experience? Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was only 35 when she took oath as Prime Minister. Sohail is 37. Since when did youth become a disqualification for leadership? @SohailAfridiISF has stepped forward despite obvious personal risks. That deserves praise, not a lecture about his age. His youth is a strength. It helps him connect with a generation tired of threats, repression and stolen mandates. The piece ends by suggesting he could find himself alone at Khairabad. That is outright insulting to the people who have come out to highlight their grievance. @PTIofficial demands are clear: release @ImranKhanPTI , release KP’s rightful funds and stop threatening the province with Governor’s Rule. For heavens sake, address those demands. Show restraint. Talk seriously. You can seal a bridge with containers. You cannot seal away the anger of millions. A state is judged by how it answers its people, not by how it blocks their path and steals their mandate.”
