THATHA. A large crowd of partymen and followers turned -up at third anniversary of Sindhi nationalist and founding leader of Awami Tehreek, Rasool Bux Palejo, at Manghro Khan Palejo, on Tuesday.
Rasool Bux Palejo was an intellectual, nationalist and a popular leader in Sindh. He had huge following as a nationalist and his words had extraordinary importance for a large majority of Sindhis.
His party …Awami Party…had great strength among Sindhis.
Thousands of workers of Sindhiani Tehreek, Lawyers Forum Tehreek, Bari Tehreek and Sajjag Bar Tehreek attended the anniversary.
Many political leaders.also joined the gathering at Manghro Khan Palejo including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator , Sussi Palejo , who is also niece of Rasool Bux Palejo.
Sussi Palejo paid rich trubute to her uncle and offered dua, besides showering flowers on the grave of Rasool Bux Palejo.
Talking to the mediamen after attending the anniversary, Sussi said Rasool Bux Pàlejo was a great leader, intellectual and a visionery man and he foght for the rights of downtrodden segment of the society. She said the people will always remember Rasool Bux Palejo as their true leader and intellectual. Sussi maintained Rasool Bux Palejo advocated the rights of small provinces.
According to Amin Farooqi …NEWSMAN correspondent for Thatha…the workers of Awami Tehreek had made wonderful arrangements to facilitate those who had come to pay tribute to their deceased leader.
Awami Tehreek central president, Rasool Bux Khaskhali, Sindhiani Tehreek central president Subhani Dehri , Maryam Gopang and Hoorun Nisa offered special salute to their deceased leader and placed party flag at the grave.
Local folk singers Saarung Chandio, Hanif Chandio, Diyal Sehari and others sung song to pay tribute to Rasool Bux Palejo.
