ISLAMABAD; The government has decided to go in the public to show its political power to the joint opposition.
Sources said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) central executive committee (CEC) on Monday decided to compete with the opposition on the field to prove that PTI was the most popular party even today.
The PTI CEC noted that the opposition was on the ground to.take advantage of the situation arising out of the troublesome price hike and soaring unemployment in the country. It called upon the PTI chief and prime minister, Imran Khan, to take the opposition head on and launch a massive public campaign . After getting input from the majority of CEC members , the prime minister took a bold decision to go on the field to compete the opposition . The CEC was told by the prime minister that PTI will take the opposition head on in next phase of local body elections in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) and Punjab . The PTI had got poor result in the first phase of KPK local body elections but it still has some idea that it will get better result in the second phase of local body elections. The prime minister advised to the party CEC that it should enhance its coordination with the masses to get maximum vote response from the public in the local body elections.
The PTI had come into power in 2018 and it has raised the hopes of the public with alluring slogans, but it somehow has not done anything good for the public in terms of jobs and other basic needs.
