ISLAMABAD : The cabinet of Islamabad bar association (IBA) has condemned the remarks of Imaan Mizari, daughter of Shireen Mizari of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) , wherein she used filthy language against army chief , Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The IBA cabinet in its statement issued here on Tuesday following a meeting of its cabinet said Imaan Mizari’s derogatory language against the chief of army staff (COAS) can not be condoned . The IBA also noted that the Islamabad High Court !IHC) decision of granting bail to Imaan Mizari in the case filed against her by the armed forces for using derogatory language sent a wrong message to the state institutions .
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice , Athar Min Allalh , had granted bail to Imaan Mizari in the case of using derogatory language against COAS.
“A section of elite in the Pakistani society targets the state institutions and the use of abusive language by Imaan Mizari against COAS was a part of the same specific group”, IBA cabinet said in its announcement.
Imaan Mizari is an advocate by profession. She hardly misses any chance to target the armed forces . The arrest of Imaan Mizari’s mother (Shireen Mizari) in an alleged land grabbing case last month provided her a golden opportunity to split her venom on the top brass of the armed forces. During her protest against the arrest of her mother she managed to have a self-styled media person to record her protest . Talking to arranged media outside the Shalimar Police Station in Islamabad where Shireen Mizari was kept before dispatching her to Rajinpur police , she abruptly started to abuse COAS out of the blue. Since she had managed her own media person, the interviewer provided her desired duration to keep on using filthy language against COAS. Since it was a serious matter , the armed forced lodged a case with Shalimar Police against Imaan Mizari for using filthy language against the army chief . Imaan Mizari moved the case to IHC whose chief justice took the matter on top priority and granted bail to the accused in this serious case.
