ISLAMABAD : Jan 27, 2023: Finance minister , Ishaq Dar , has held Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief , Imran Khan, responsible of Pakistan’s current economic crisis and asked him to stop lying to the nation for his dirty politics.
Apparently charged Ishaq Dar threw challenge on Imran Khan for open and live debate on what he called as fake presentation being made by him to the public on economic performance of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf ( PTI ) regime .
Mr Imran its shameful on your part to bluff the people of Pakistan on economic achievements of your government, Dar reminded to PTI chief .
Address to a press briefing , Mr said Pakistan was turning into an economic power in Nawaz Sharif government in 2016, but unfortunately his government was ended as a part of a plan to cheat next general elections and bring Imran Khan into power.
Mr Dar claimed that Imran Khan came into power in a stolen general elections held in 2018.
Mr Dar claimed that Nawaz Sharif government had a growth rate of 6.10 % when it was ended in 2016 and in Imran rule this growth rate dropped down to 4.5 %. He claimed that per person income also dropped down in Imran khan and at the same time Pakistan’s trade deficit rose to 17 %.
The minister said Imran Khan intentionally presented incorrect number of Pakistan ‘s economy at international forums and his objective for it was to defame Pakistan.
Ishaq Dar added he made a number of prompt decisions to save Pakistan’s economic interests in post nuke tests times and that decisions worked well
He said Imran Khan is expert in bluffing the people but he should be ashamed for it. Ishaq Dar added that Imran Khan government signed an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and trashed it later seeing end of his rule . He said Imran Khan advised then chief minister of Khyber Pukhtunkhaw and Punjab not to cooperate with the IMF team . He hurled a challenge for live debate on the steps taken by the current regime . Mr Dar said PTI chief is a liar at par and he speaks lies in his each speech.
He said his party decided to save Pakistan and it paid huge political cost for it. He claimed that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government preferred the state over politics.
Ishaq Dar said he was ready for a live contest with Imran Khan’s economic wizards on national economy.
