KARACHI. August 19, 2022. US dollar lost slightly in interbank trading on Friday. Its value slightly went down as it traded at Rs 214.90 against Rs 215 of Thursday.
But in the open market , US dollar value was recorded at Rs 216 . US dollar had
gone up by Rs 1 in the first session on Friday but at the end of the day it closed at Rs 216 at the end of trading session at 4 PM.
In open market, US dollar was making gain for the last three trading session (August 15-19).
The news of resumption of International Monetary Fund (IMF) are not affecting US dollar in the open market.
Since August 15, US dollar has appreciated by Rs 9 . On August 13, dollar was pegged at Rs 209 , its lowest value in the last one month or so.
