ISLAMABAD. The federal cabinet, which met here on Tuesday with prime minister, Imran Khan, in the chair approved appointment of Dr Ashfaq , a senior official and current member operation Inland Revenue (IR) as FBR chairman.
The FBR officials take appointment of Dr Ashfaq as a positive development and hope under his supervision, FBR will give better performance.
The idea of bringing outsiders as chairman FBR has not worked well as the FBR officials do not remain comfortable with their outsider boss and subsequently it damages overall performance of FBR.
