ISLAMABAD: As the situation wosen at home in Afghanistan and Taliban set to enter in capital, Kabul in final round of advancement, a high -level delegation of Afghan leadership, headed by speaker , Ulusi Jirga Mir Rehaman Rehmani, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday afternoon to discuss the matter of ‘mutual interest’ with Pakistan’s leadership.
The Afghan delegation included Salahuddin Rabbani, Mahammad Younus Qanooni, Ustad Mohammad Karim Khilili, Ahmad Zia Masood, Ahmad Wali Masood,
Khalid Noor and Abdul Latif Pedram.
In a tweet, Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special envoy on Afghanistan, confirmed airdashing of high- level delegation in Islamabad .
In his tweet, Mr Mohammad Sadiq said ”
“Just received a high level Afghan political leadership delegation including Speaker Ulusi Jirga Mir Rehman Rehmani, Salah-ud-din Rabbani, Mohammad Yunus Qanooni, Ustad Mohammad Karim Khalili, Ahmad Zia Massoud, Ahmad Wali Massoud, Abdul Latif Pedram, and Khalid Noor”.
Emergency landing of Afghan leadership in the prevailing Afghan scenario is extremely important and its discussion with Pakistani leadershiop on Afghanistan iissue could be crucial.
Pakistan will like to have indepth and result -oriented discussion with the visiting Afghan delegation.
Since Pakistan is urging all the parties to Afghan problem for a peaceful and political solution to the issue for having long term and durable peace in Afghanistan, it can play a major role to bring all warring Afghan factions and the present Afghan regime to a negotiating table to find out an acceptable solution to the Afghan problem.
” Pakistan is urging for a peaceful solution to Afghan problem and it will like to discuss the same proposition with the visiting Afghan delegation and to me its in the best interest of the Afghanistan and all neighbouring countries”, Qamar Cheema, an Islamabad-based geopolitical anaylist said while commenting on arrival of Afghan delegation.
Mr Nazir Jillani, a retired senior Air Force officer and defence anaylist, sees coming of senior Afghan leadership to Pakistan at this crucial stage of Afghan problem as s good development.
In his comment of the future of Afghanistan, Nazir Jillani said “Afghan leadership should come to negotiating table and findout some workable solution to the Afghan problem to put an end to the on-going bloodshed in Afghanistan.
