ISLAMABAD . The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman justice (R) , Javed Iqbal , relinquished charge of his office on Thursday. His extended term completed on June 2, 2022.
Javed Iqbal had taken over as NAB chairman in 2017. He was granted extension on day to day basic last year . Javed Iqbal remained NAB chairman for around quarter to five years.
Justice Javed Iqbal is likely to be succeeded by justice (R) Maqbool Baqir , as the treasury and opposition is close to finalise his name as NAB chairman.
