ISLAMABAD: After 24 hours , the Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf ( PTI) government accepted the demand of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PDA) for upward revision in the dealer commission. The government told a delegation of PDA that it was ready to increase their margin on sale of petroleum products with immediate effect. It official team extended an assurance to the PDA team that it will revisit dealer margin after six months for any necessary adjustment in margin.
The Petroleum Division authorities held day-long talks with PDA team here on Thursday.
A day before, PDA had announced
the closure of petrol pumps from 6 AM on November 25, 2021 that threw the entire country in a panic situation.
The PDA team had a meeting with the senior officials of the Petroleum Division to find an amicable solution to the problem. These talks finally ended-up at an agreement on the thorny issue. The government agreed to grant an increase of Rs 0.99 per litre in commission on sale of petroleum products.
